Bone Density Scan
Experience the future of bone health with our revolutionary DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) technology. This advanced system delivers unparalleled accuracy in measuring Bone Mineral Density (BMD), making it essential for diagnosing and monitoring bone conditions. As the gold standard in osteoporosis screening, DEXA provides a swift, non-invasive method to accurately assess bone density and enhance your bone health management.

Body Composition Scan
Body Composition Scan is one of the most accurate methods for measuring body fat and muscle distribution. It enables you to precisely track changes in weight, fat gain/loss, and muscle mass while also assessing the amount of visceral fat around your organs. These insights empower you to make informed decisions, helping you achieve your health goals and reduce the risk of chronic disease.
Digital Vertebral Assessment
Discover advanced spinal health with Digital Vertebral Assessment (DVA), the latest innovation in vertebral body compression and fracture detection. DVA provides precise measurements of vertebral body height, ensuring accurate and early diagnosis of conditions such as vertebral fractures.

Note: DVA scans are covered by ACC and a referral required from a healthcare professional
Ultrasound scanning utilizes high-frequency sound waves to generate images from within the body. It is used for examining soft tissue structures inside our body including muscles and tendons. Ultrasound is widely acknowledged for its crucial role in pregnancy, enabling assessment and monitoring of fetal growth. This imaging technique is exceptionally safe, painless, and cost-effective.

Ultrasound Guided Cortisone Injection or Aspiration
A full medical history and consent form process are required prior to the injection.

A steroid injection is given into a joint, tendon or bursa to reduce inflammation and pain. The doctor will inject local anaesthetic and steroid into the inflamed area under ultrasound guidance. The effects of local anaesthetic will last for a few hours. No preparation is required for this injection.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections

A full medical history and consent form process are required prior to the injection.

PRP injection is a biological therapy which helps to stimulate healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. It is a simple process where the doctor will draw blood from the patient and then centrifuge it to produce platelet rich plasma. The PRP is then injected directly into the pain or injury site to stimulate the healing process.
Preparation is required for the following examinations:

Abdomen: Please fast for 5-6 hours prior to your scan. You may drink water, black tea, or black coffee. Please continue taking your medications as prescribed.

Renal: A full bladder is necessary for this scan. Please drink 5-6 glasses of water one hour before your appointment.

Pelvis: This scan may involve a transvaginal procedure to provide detailed assessment of pelvic organs. If you prefer not to undergo the transvaginal scan, please drink 4 glasses of water one hour before your appointment.
